This is the same laundry detergent I have been making for my family for well over a decade. It cleans very well and each load requires only 1 or 2 Tablespoons depending on your machine. (works great for HE machines.)
The canister is sturdy and reusable, but when you are finished with it, you can toss it in your compost pile.
A load of laundry requires one tablespoon of detergent if your machine is an HE and 2 tablespoons if it is not. (Extra large or heavily soiled loads may require more.)
The cute little wooden scoop measures exactly one tablespoon.
