Looking for laundry bar soap to make your own laundry detergent? This soap bar is the one I use in my detergent and I've been using it for over a decade. It is a powerful cleaner. Shred it for detergent or rub it directly onto garments to treat stains. It is the ideal eco friendly home cleaning product because of its multi-tasking abilities. (see below)
Just shred the soap and combine with borax, washing soda, and baking soda. Scent as desired. Also use the bar to pretreat stains and to hand wash laundry.
These bars are great multi-taskers. They also make excellent dish soap. Simply place a bar in a cup or bowl and run hot water directly over it. Remove the bar and add dishes. My dishes have been noticeably cleaner since I started using these bars! Rub the bar in the dishrag to soap it up just as you would a shower bar. Expect to get about 8-10 dish loads per bar. You can also use your soaped-up rag to clean counters, walls, floors, stovetop, etc. (It will need to be rinsed, especially from shiny surfaces.)
