I’m excited to share my original painting, "Honeybee on Clover." This 4x4" piece captures a serene moment of a honeybee gathering nectar from a delicate clover flower. The background features soft, blurred greens and purples that evoke the gentle embrace of nature, allowing the bee and flower to stand out beautifully.
Painted from a reference photo I took of one of our own bees from our hives, this artwork reflects my love for the natural world and its small wonders. I used acrylic paint on a ¾" thick cradled Ampersand hardboard, applying a realistic style while incorporating loose, painterly strokes that bring a sense of life and movement to the scene.
