Titmice are some of the most playful little birds, always full of curiosity and energy. With their distinctive crests and cheerful calls, they hop around, tilting their heads as if trying to figure things out. I’ve often seen them in my yard, and once I had one tapping away at my bedroom window as if trying to get my attention. I like to think he was just saying "hello" rather than trying to scare off a rival! (as is the common assumption.)
Inspired by their charm, I created a 6x6 inch acrylic painting, and it became part of a series of bird paintings.
